I planted a seed,
In the tender and nascent soil,
Adequately fortified,
Adequately loved.
I was watching the soil,
For the seed to sprout,
It did,
Little can be said in words,
About the joy it effected.
I dwelt on this joy,
As long as I could,
It wasn't very long,
Before I realised,
I had planted a weed.
Sadly, I loved the weed no less.
It's time I did away with it.
In the tender and nascent soil,
Adequately fortified,
Adequately loved.
I was watching the soil,
For the seed to sprout,
It did,
Little can be said in words,
About the joy it effected.
I dwelt on this joy,
As long as I could,
It wasn't very long,
Before I realised,
I had planted a weed.
Sadly, I loved the weed no less.
It's time I did away with it.
